If you are growing BT cotton then you should use the following recommended doses of fertilizers for fulfilling the needs of BT cotton plants and to get high yield from BT cotton varieties. These recommendations are given on the basis of sowing time of cotton. Mainly there are two kind of sowing of BT cotton which are early sowing and late sowing. Recommendation of fertilizer dose is different for early and late sowing. You can choose this dose according to the sowing time of your BT cotton. Nitrogen
You can use 138 to 161 kilograms of urea or 9 to 11 bags of calcium ammonium nitrate for fulfilling the nitrogen needs of early sown BT cotton.
Phosphorus
You can use 46 kilograms of triple super phosphate or five bags of single super phosphate or two bags of DAP for fulfilling the phosphorus needs of your early sown BT cotton
Potash
You can use 37 to 50 kilograms of potassium sulphate or one and a half bags of potassium chloride or one and a half bags to two bags of potassium chloride for fulfilling the potash needs of your early sown BT cotton.
Recommended doses of fertilizers for late sowing (of BT cotton)
Nitrogen
You can use 81 to 92 kilograms or 3 to 4 bags of urea or 5 to 6 bags of calcium ammonium nitrate for fulfilling the requirements of nitrogen of your late sown BT cotton varieties.
Phosphorous
You can use 35 kilograms of triple super phosphate or 4 bags of single super phosphate or one and a half bag of DAP for fulfilling the requirements of your late sown BT cotton for phosphorous.
Potash
You can use 37 kilograms of potassium sulphate or one and a half bag of potassium chloride or one and a half bag of potassium sulphate or one and half bag of potassium chloride for fulfilling the potash requirement of your late sown BT cotton.
